On my 60th birthday, the 17th of February, I entered the doors of Velvet Recording together with friends, to start the process of recording three Gubbe songs. BOHICA Syndrome, What Could Possibly Go Wrong and No Day For Gray.

No Day For Gray is the new song inspired by Norseman Xtreme Triathlon. The triathlon that has become a parallel reality for me during the last 20 years. Norseman is where Gubbe really feels alive and kicking. Even though I'm only crewing, and having done the race only once.
But no Norseman memory is stronger for me than the taste of the fjord, the water released from fingertips and the sun that gradualy colour the mountain side in the Nordic early morning. That memory, though 15 years old, is still felt physically! It still gives me goosebumps.
A black band glide
To kiss the waves
By daylight …. rise.
Pearls from hand
That darkness slice
Into the deep I dive
Into the blue
On Tuesday it is vocal day in the study, to lay down some proper vocals together with Erik Lysøe from Furious Fossils.
Here is a little sound bite, a rough taste of the new song. The vocal and one of the guitars are done in home studio as a test, and nothing is edited or mixed. So it sure is raw, but if you are curious, you can now get a first taste of what you will listen to in the Autumn of 2025.
No Turning Back Now!
